American musician Chris Daughtry who is best known as the lead vocalist for the rock band Daughtry. Former American Idol contestant has mentioned that he is hurt by a lawsuit by three former bandmates that have filed against him.
Apparently Ryan Andrews, Scott Crawford and Mark Perry who along with Daughtry played in the group Absent Element. The claim is that the singer had defrauded them out of royalties from four songs to which they allegedly contributed music and lyrics.
The lawsuit, filed this week in North Carolina, accuses Daughtry of
“constructive fraud, breaches of fiduciary duty, unfair trade practices, and other deceptive and wrongful conduct.”
In response, Daughtry posted a statement to his official site.
“I am very hurt by these false accusations. The songs listed in this lawsuit were written solely by me and no one else and at this time, I have no further comment.”
