‘The Hunger Games’ actor Donald Sutherland to be honoured in France. The veteran star Sutherland has been awarded France‘s top cultural honour. He has become the latest international recipient of the Commander of the Arts prize for his contribution to cinema on Saturday night June 9, 2012.
Former French Culture Minister Frederic Mitterrand saluted the Canadian actor and presented him with his medallion.
Accepting the award, Sutherland who is now seventy six years old had thanked his wife for introducing him to French cinema and,
“cheese and baguettes”.
