Christina Aguilera‘s music was inspired by bullies. The American singer-songwriter, record producer and television personality has spoke out about how bullying towards her did give her inspiration for her biggest hits.
The ‘Voice’ coach has been often criticized for having a curvier body has admitted that by the negativity but puts her feelings into her music. In an emotional interview with ‘Dateline NBC’, the thirty one year-old star said:
”I have definitely experienced forms of bullying, and that’s why it’s so important for me to write songs like ‘Beautiful’ and ‘Fighter’.
”On this current record, ‘Lotus’ is all about being an unbreakable flower that survives the test of time. Throughout the roughest of surroundings and harshest weather conditions it remains strong and thrives.”
She had also opened up about her relationship along with her four year old son Max, ‘The Voice’ mentor said:
”He is my heart he is my world, he’s just my baby. I am definitely accomplishing that goal thus far. No matter what, I know he is in an environment that makes him very safe.”
While growing up she said that she witnessed a lot of ”unpleasant things”. She said:
”Growing up I did not feel safe. Feeling powerless is the worst feeling in the world. I turned to singing as an outlet. The pain at home is where my love for music came from.”
