Australian actress Cate Blanchett, has revealed she will not be getting ‘Botox’ anytime soon. She has said she is telling women what they should and should’t do,” she tells Fashion ETC.
“I just know what works for me. I’d be too frightened about what it means long-term. Looking at women in their 20s doing this stuff, in the end all you see is the work. It does’t fill me with admiration; it fills me with pity.”
She is lucky to have her flawless skin and credits it to the Japanese skin care brand SK-II (she’s the face of the company).
“I’ve been using it for a long time,” she says, adding that part of her basic routine is born of laziness. “If it works, I keep using it. It’s about consistency.”
In addition to using the brand’s delicate lotions and masks the Aussie actress relies on occasional oxygen facials, emu oil, Paw Paw Ointment and daily doses of sunscreen. But some signs of aging even Blanchett can’t prevent: when asked about sun exposure, she resigns,
“You’re going to get it anyway.” Tell us: How do you take care of your skin?
