Bee Gees’ Home Of Childhood Memories Burns Down!

Bee Gees’ childhood home has burned down. The musical group which include Brothers, Barry, Robin and Maurice’ house where they lived most of their young lives has been gutted by fire.

What had happened is that the blaze broke out at the property in Margate, Redcliffe, north of Brisbane early morning on Friday, December 28. 2012. It took many hours by firefighters to take the flames out, causing no injuries.

Local officials have also been in talks of erecting a monument to the brothers in the area. Maurice Gibb passed away in 2003 and his twin brother, Robin, passed away in May, 2012 after a battle with cancer.

Barry Gibb has recently announced he will kick off a world tour in Australia in February, 2012 and did have plans to return to the family’s former home.

He told Australian newspaper the Sydney Daily Telegraph,

“It will be a sentimental journey. Coming home to Australia will be a wake-up call for me. I love the place so much and I think I will always feel like the 12-year-old kid who loved the beach and the girls during summer holidays.”
